Bask in the Glow of Illuminated Public Art After Dark!

Keep the energy going after the PRIDE Parade and Charles Street Promenade with an unforgettable evening of light, music, and celebration in the heart of the Station North Arts District!
Join us as Baltimore City unveils two new Inviting Light public art installations, transforming North Charles Street into a glowing hub of creativity and community. The 1700 and 1800 blocks will be closed to traffic and open to joy, offering a radiant backdrop for this special night.
As the official after-party of the Promenade, the streets will light up with large-scale illuminated art, evoking both jubilation and nostalgia. Expect live DJ sets, art, dancing, outdoor dining, Made in Baltimore and other vendors, and an atmosphere buzzing with vibrant energy.
When night falls at 9 p.m., witness the debut lighting of these awe-inspiring Inviting Light public art installations:
· “Big Ass Snake (Plant)s On a Plane” by Phaan Howng at 1714 N. Charles Street channels the energy of blockbuster action films, transporting the Charles Street Garage to post-human world. transports the Charles Street Garage to a post-human world. Larger-than-life leaves ‘grow’ out of the garage reclaiming the space as their own.
· “Aurora” by Tony Shore at 1815-1817 N. Charles Street transforms the façade of the former Gatsby’s nightclub into a vibrant, light-filled 3D tableau, where familiar neighborhood faces gather in a timeless hangout that’s always open, always welcoming. Shore’s work is an homage to real Baltimore people found in their usual haunts.
PLUS live DJ sets from Porkchop, Ducky Dynamo & DJ AyyMello, Rod Braxton, GRL PWR, and DJ Afr0delic and multimedia work from GRL PWR (Amy Reid + Pangelica) and Delilah Jabbour . It will be a night to remember!
