Illuminating
Baltimore

With Art

At the crossroads of Baltimore is the Station North Arts and Entertainment District. As a community we've been coming here for years to share the experience and enjoyment of the arts. Inviting Light will reflect our collective love of the arts and the need for dynamic public space. We'll come together, shining our light and energy in the heart of our city!

Why Light

Light can do so many things. It can soothe, it can excite, it can make us feel safe. It can bring people together, and drive culture.

Curated by Baltimore’s own Derrick Adams, and supported by a Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge grant, Inviting Light is an exciting public art project which will illuminate Station North with five incredible site-specific public art installations, followed by a year of scheduled events and curated arts programming.

Managed by Central Baltimore Partnership in association with the Mayor’s Office for Arts and Culture and the Neighborhood Design Center, our Inviting Light Community Kick-off at the SNF Parkway Theatre February 7 will introduce you to our selected artists, their proposed projects, and upcoming schedule of events throughout 2025.
