Site installation artist Zoë Charlton creates drawings, collages, installations, and animations that depict her subject’s relationship to culturally loaded objects and landscapes. Her work has been exhibited at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Studio Museum of Harlem, the Zacheta National Gallery of Art (Poland), and Haas & Fischer Gallery (Switzerland). She is a recipient of a Pollock-Krasner grant and a Robert W. Deutsch Foundation Rubys grant. Museum collections include The Phillips Collection, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Birmingham Museum of Art, Baltimore Museum of Art, and Studio Museum in Harlem. Charlton received an MFA degree from the University of Texas at Austin and participated in residencies at Artpace, McColl Center for Art + Innovation, Ucross Foundation, and the Skowhegan School of Painting.
